The fungi are starting to appear – one consolation to the autumnal feel to the end of August! Look out for the large bright caps of the orange birch bolete (Leccinum versipelle, especially on the bing at Knockshinnoch Lagoons.
Other species to look out for – has anyone seen any of the following? When was the last time you saw them?
